Now that there are only two weeks left in the month, it’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy all that summer has to offer in the city.

From a food truck party at the CNE to a Filipino food festival, there are plenty of foodie events to keep you full and satisfied. But don’t worry, there’s also cider, beer, and bourbon festivals taking place to keep your whistle nice and wet this week.

TAIWANFest

What: What began in 1990 as a way to introduce Taiwanese composers to the Canadian public is now an annual festival that celebrates Taiwan’s culture. This weekend, the festival celebrates Canada 150 by featuring inspiring visual arts, exciting performances, tantalizing culinary treats, intriguing lifestyle experiences, workshops, and family-friendly games.

CNE Food Truck Frenzy

What: Food Truck Frenzy returns for another year of artery clogging extreme carnival eats. Make sure to arrive with a big appetite, there will be 25 local food trucks serving up one-of-a-kind dishes that you won’t want to miss this weekend.

Beer, Bourbon & BBQ

What: If you feel as if you hadn’t enjoyed your share of mouth-watering BBQ this summer, you’re in luck. Beer, Bourbon & BBQ is Toronto’s newest late summer festival and it’s taking every tried and true summertime attraction and mashing them all together into one single event. This event promises all the BBQ and craft beer you could ever need, live country bands, line dancing lessons, bourbon tasting bars, axe throwing, BBQ cook-offs, and more.

Toronto Cider Festival

What: This year’s Toronto Cider Festival will showcase amazing ciders paired with delicious food, live entertainment, and local Canadian talent. In honour of Canada 150, the Cider Festival will allow you to celebrate the end of summer in true Canadian style.

Leslieville Beer Fest

What: Come raise a (pint) glass and cheers to another incredible Ontario summer at this old fashion neighbourhood street party. Ticket are $20 and include three beer tokens and a souvenir beer mug.

Halo Halo Festival

What: Halo Halo is the sweet inspiration behind this incredible foodie fest happening this weekend. Like the sweet treat itself, the Filipino food festival promises a colourful array of arts, culture, entertainment, and of course, mouth-watering delicacies. Attendees can look forward to everything from adobo and pancit, to lechon and lumpia on offer along with traditional folk music, dances, and kid friendly activities.
