Expect to see an increase in police presence in the Distillery District as the Toronto Christmas Market wraps up for another year.

Set to run until Thursday, December 22, market organizers have heightened security in the wake of the deadly terror attack in Berlin.

In addition to employing extra pay-duty police officers, 51 Division confirms that uniformed police officers will also be on street patrol and concrete barricades have been installed around the market’s perimeter.
