The Toronto Christmas Market will be open longer than ever this year

Oct 4 2018, 8:34 pm

In what’s becoming a trend, the 2018 Toronto Christmas Market will now be the event’s longest ever, running for a total of 39 days this holiday season.

It may still seem like summer outside, but the iconic market is already less than six weeks away.

This year, you can get into the holiday spirit starting Thursday, November 15. The Market will feature entertainment, beer gardens, vendors, and a whole lot of Christmas cheer. So get ready to get cozied up, and head down to the Distillery District toĀ experience its magic.

While admission remains free during weekdays, the non-profit organization has evening and weekend chargesĀ ā€” but don’t worry, it all goes to charity.Ā

Funds raised from ticket sales help grow the festival, and support three charities: The Daily Bread Food Bank which helps provide nutritious food to people struggling with hunger, Plan International Canada which helps families and children in developing countries to break the cycle of poverty, and The Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund which helps provide gifts to underprivileged children.

Tickets are already availableĀ onlineĀ and will also be available at the door. The market is closed on Mondays, but the Distillery District is open seven days a week.
