11 places to watch Canada Day fireworks in Toronto

Our beloved Canada turns 150 years young on July 1st.

Falling on a Saturday this year, there is no better time to grab the family, grab the friends, and celebrate with one of these Toronto events.

Did we mention there will be fireworks? In fact, there will be lots of fireworks. So here’s a guide to help you plan your own Canada Day fireworks extravaganza.

Mel Lastman Square

The big 150th birthday celebration this year is at Mel Lastman Square, with a fun-filled evening of music, dance, and family activities. Of course, all of the day’s excitement ends with the fireworks show choreographed to music!

Amesbury Park Canada Day Celebration

The 34th Annual Amesbury Park Canada Day Celebration brings the community spirit to its July 1st festivities. From multicultural entertainment, to children’s activities, and fireworks, this is sure to end the day with a bang.

Ashbridges Bay Park

A day on the beach is never wasted. That’s why Ashbridges Bay Park is an awesome way to spend Canada Day, whether it is chilling on the beach or stalling on the boardwalk. And top off the outdoor awesomeness with a side of fireworks.

Centennial Park/Toronto Ribfest

A day filled with Ribs, live music, magic shows, and fireworks, the Toronto Ribfest Canada Day festivities has it all. Events are family friendly, and the food is delicious. So don’t forget your appetite.

Canada Day at Downsview Park

Partake in an action-packed day of festivities with rides, food, music, entertainment and of course, a grand fireworks display at dusk to end the day.

Nathan Phillips Square

Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday at Canada Days in the heart of downtown. From June 30 to July 3, Canada Days at Nathan Phillips Square will bring Canada’s rich cultural fabric to life through an incredible mix of music, dance, circus, and street arts. The multiple day program will end each evening with nightly fireworks.

Canada’s Wonderland

If there’s a day to visit Canada’s Wonderland, Canada Day would be it! Awesome rides and family fun all day, followed by an epic fireworks display. And their fireworks are accompanied by an original soundtrack – don’t miss it.

Humber Bay Park West

The family-friendly event features two stages with a full line-up of exciting performances by award-winning local, national and international artists creating contemporary music influenced by the cultures and communities of the Etobicoke area. The night concludes with a spectacular fireworks display at 10:55 pm.

Scarborough Civic Centre

The multi-stage event will feature performances by local, national and international music acts from desert blues, Taiwanese indie, and electronica to legends of reggae and South Asian hip hop that will get everyone on their feet. And of course, end the night under bright skies with a fireworks show.

East York Canada Day

A full day of celebration in East York is scheduled with lots of music and of course, some wicked fireworks to end the day.
