Don’t let Monday’s freezing temperatures fool you, warm weather is finally on the horizon.

By Wednesday, February 14, Toronto will be hit with spring-like temperatures that are forecasted to stick around through Thursday when we’ll see a high of 7°C degrees.

While this isn’t exactly shorts and flipflops weather, it’s a big shift from Monday, where temperatures are expected to dip to a low of -16ºC with the windchill.

According to The Weather Network, a much milder air flow is on the way from the Southeast US, along with some overdue sunshine and above freezing temperatures.

Wednesday is predicted to have a high of 2ºC, with an overnight low of 1ºC and a 40 per cent chance of rain or snow.

Thursday will be another mild day with an expected high of 7ºC, but late in the day colder weather will make its way back into the region, and we’ll see a low of -4ºC and another 30 per cent chance of rain or snow during the evening.

Heading into the weekend, the chilly seasonal temperatures will return on Friday, however, the cool down will be short-lived as the mild and sunny weather are forecast to return by Sunday heading into Family Day Monday.
