There’s about to be a new spot for blow-torched and pressed (read: aburi and oshizushi) sushi in Toronto.

Tora is an all-new concept from the Vancouver restaurant group that’s also behind Toronto’s upscale Miku Japanese restaurant and sushi bar.

The new spot is scheduled to open this winter at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. It will add to the spectacular dining options already at the mall, including The Cheesecake FactoryJamie’s Italian, and a Lindt Chocolate flagship store.

… That counts as a food spot, right?

It does. And it will be a great place to hit for dessert. If you manage to save a little room.

Because we’re talking blow-torched sushi, here. And there’s a good chance you’re going to want to try everything on the menu.
