Aug 22 2017, 9:32 pm

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is just around the corner, and is ready to roll out its red carpet.

But the red carpet isn’t just for celebs, it’s also for festival goers heading to check out its fourth annual Festival Street events.

The City of Toronto, a partner of TIFF’s, has announced that parts of King Street West will be closed to traffic for a pedestrian promenade from September 7 to 10.

The Festival Street events will result in the full closure of King Street West between Spadina and University Avenues from 5 am on September 7 until 5 am on September 11.

The road closure will also require changes to the 504 King, 514 Cherry and 304 King (night) streetcar services. John Street between King Street and Wellington Street will also be closed during the five-day period.

The City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) are working with TIFF to ensure Festival Street is enjoyed with a minimum of inconvenience to those travelling in this area of the city.
