It’s almost time for star spotting in Toronto.

The 42nd Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has released their list of galas and films coming this way in September, which means we get to learn who’s making the rounds in our city soon.

Of the 14 Galas and 33 Special Presentations, this first set of announcements includes 25 World Premieres, eight International Premieres, six North American Premieres, and eight Canadian Premieres.

Phew. That’s a lot of premiers.

“Festival-goers from around the world can anticipate a remarkable lineup of extraordinary stories, voices and cinematic visions from emerging talent and some of our favourite masters,” said Piers Handling, CEO and director of TIFF in a release.

TIFF, which runs from September 7 to 17, will include works from Canada, USA, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, India, Chile, Egypt, and Cambodia.

As for the stars attending TIFF, there will be new films featuring Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Rudd, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, and Daniel Craig. Along with actors, filmmakers Darren Aronofsky, George Clooney, Guillermo del Toro, Greta Gerwig, and Angelina Jolie will also be at TIFF this year.
