This is one of the strangest Toronto car accidents we've ever seen (VIDEO)

As the title of this video suggests, dashcams seem to moving from the ‘nice-to-have’ to the ‘necessary’ category in Toronto.

Don’t believe us? Watch this insanity.

At a regular ‘ol red light at what appears to be the corner of Black Creek Drive and Trethewey Drive, a white Ford Focus seems to be in a hurry – going from a dead stop to slamming into the back of another Ford Focus and pushing it out into the intersection.

Of course, here’s where it gets even more interesting. Rather than stop and own up to the idiocy, the driver of the assaulting vehicle decides the best move to make is an illegal right turn and bust a move on out of there – all before the old man he’s hit can even get out of his car and shake his head in utter bewilderment.

Best guess is that the meatball driving the white Ford was looking at his/her phone and caught the left turning lane moving ahead out of the corner of his/her eye and just hit the gas.

So maybe the lesson here isn’t get a dashcam, it’s simply don’t be a moron and put other people’s lives at risk ’cause you need to catch a Pokémon at every red light you come to.

As the video uploader notes, the date and time were never set on the dashcam, so based on the YouTube upload time, this accident probably happened sometime last week.

In the meantime, beware of white Ford Focus’ lurking at red lights. And be safe out there, Toronto.
