Spotted on Reddit: 'Canadian Tumbleweed' blows through field of snow

Most of us are familiar with the image of tinder-dry balls of dry tumbleweed rolling across a dry prairie field on a hot, windy day, but a scene from Reddit offers us a new angle.

Yes, it seems that tumbleweeds aren’t just for summer anymore.

In the scene which was captured and posted to Reddit by user THhhaway, it looks like snow-covered fields can also create the same scene.

The vide of the “rare snow rollers” was shot in Newfoundland earlier this week and shows numerous “rollers” being caught by the wind and carried along the ground.

So while the image of  tumbleweeds may typically cause thoughts of warmer, drier days in the glorious heat of summertime, we now now this is in fact, a year-round thing.

And with another snowy winter in store for the country, this may not be the last we see of these Canadian creations either.

Oh, joy.
