If you’re wondering what donuts Canadians seek out the most, do not dismay: Google has the answers.

In honour of National Donut Day (or Doughnut Day, should you prefer), Google Canada shared some details on what kinds of donuts were the most searched for (aka Googled) in each province. It’s a fitting bit of analysis, considering Canada is home to more donut shops than any other country.

It turns out, in Quebec they think they are ready to handle this jelly…or at least get their hands on some jelly-filled donuts. Meanwhile, in Ontario, it’s all about the double chocolate. Albertans keep it old fashioned, and in BC, the search is on for lemon cream.

But clearly, the most donut-minded provinces are BC and Ontario:

Lest you underestimate just how beloved donuts are to Canadians, Google also points out this delicious data: “Over the past 12 months, [Canadians have] searched for donuts 24X more than beavertails, nearly 10X more than Nanaimo bars, and nearly 5X more than butter tarts. And in the past year, we’ve searched for donuts about 74X more often than we search for donut holes.” (Yikes, don’t tell Timmies that!)

When it comes to what searches have grown more popular over time, the emerging champ has no holes. That’s because it’s the sweet, cinnamon goodness of the Apple Fritter that has Canadians’ hitting the keyboard.

Trending? Searches for “donut ice cream cones.’ Food-obsessed Instagrammers will understand. Toronto definitely has them. (Thanks, Google!) In Vancouver, you can get a donut cousin, a Chimney Cake, with ice cream added, too.
