In case you’ve been wondering what the most popular names in Ontario were this year, the province has your back.

For the fifth year in a row, the Government of Ontario released its annual list of top names for new babies, placing Olivia as the most popular name of 2016.

Charlotte and Henry are the fastest-rising baby names, with Henry rising 83 positions and Charlotte 105 positions from their previous popularity in 2015.

The top ten most popular baby names are:

1.  Olivia
2.  Emma
3.  Liam
4.  Benjamin
5.  Noah
6.  Lucas
7.  Ethan
8.  Charlotte
9.  William
10. Ava

Tenley, Riaan and Eason were brand new names added to the list this year, and although not yet on the top 10, they do get top marks for originality.

After naming their newborns, parents have up to one year to register their child’s birth, according to the government press release. So that’s 365 days to second guess a lifetime’s worth of bad nicknames.

The most popular way of registering a newborn is online through ServiceOntario’s 4-in-1 Newborn Bundle, where parents can register their child’s birth, apply for their birth certificate, social insurance number and child benefits.

So, did your baby’s name make the list?
