Over the weekend, a 33-year-old McGill student named Soha Ebrahimzandi cycled from Montreal to Toronto in just 35 hours.

This trip typically takes experienced cyclists three days to complete, however, Ebrahimzandi sought to do it all in one go, riding through the night on May 20, 2017.

Ebrahimzandi had created a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for his brother who is currently battling cancer. The two lost their mother to cancer several years ago, and Ebrahimzandi does not want to see the same thing to happen to his brother.

He hopes to raise $20,000 through a Ridethecure campaign he created on Facebook.

To prepare for the race, he trained with a 93-year-old yoga teacher from India.

Ebhraimzandi set off on Saturday, May 20 and arrived safely in Toronto on May 21st. His wife posted on his Ridethecure Facebook page on Monday, saying, “Soha is recovering after this long journey today and we are appreciating all the supports financially and emotionally from our amazing friends.”
