Milk Bar is launching Crack Pie Soft Serve ice cream in Toronto next week at its second-floor retail outlet located inside Momofuku Toronto.

Described as the embodiment of “all the toasted oat crust and gooey butter filling flavors of crack pie” in ice cream form, the new addition the menu joins other signature offerings including compost cookies and cereal milk.

Toronto is long overdue for a taste of this addictive new soft serve flavour which was first introduced state-side in 2014.

In advance of the new product launches (there’s something about newly introduced Chocolate Chip Passion Fruit Cake Truffle too but I stopped paying attention after Crack Pie) you can pay your compliments to the chef herself.

Chef and owner Christina Tosi is making a public appearance at the Drake General Store on Sunday, February 12 where she’ll kick-off of the Milk Bar shop-in-shop on Queen West as well as sign cookbooks and sample sweet b’day truffles and chocolate malt cake truffles.

Following the in-store event, catch Tosi at The Drake Hotel serving up a special one-night-only à la carte dessert menu ($9 to $15), promising goodies like cereal milk white hot chocolate with a blueberry & cream cookie, chocolate chip passion fruit cake, crack pie with a b’day truffle, and corn cookie sandwiches with pickled strawberry jam.
