Police looking for woman who went missing during hike in Leaside

Toronto police are informing the public of a woman who disappeared while on a hike Sunday night in Leaside and Toronto.

According to police, 45-year-old Stella Wong was on a walk with a friend around 7 pm in Crothers Woods, near Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue East.

Toronto police have launched its highest level search for her.

She is Asian, 5’5′, with black hair and has a slim build. She’s wearing a purple coat, black leggings and brown boots.

Police are very concerned for her safety.

The police have set up a command post at 21 Redway Road and have additional resources working the area to assist in the search.
