There will soon be a new destination for blow-torched (aburi) and pressed (oshizushi) sushi in Toronto. Tora is an all-new concept from the Vancouver restaurant group that’s also behind Toronto’s upscale Miku Japanese restaurant and sushi bar.

While details are still scarce, the new addition to the Aburi Restaurants family is scheduled to open this winter at Yorkdale Shopping Centre and will add to the dining options at the mall which already include The Cheesecake Factory, Jamie’s Italian, and Colette Grand Café (to name just a few).

When reached for comment by Daily Hive, a representative from the company says that “we aren’t able to share the menu or details as of yet, but I can tell you it will feature Aburi Sushi.”
