Hamilton Police asking everyone to “romaine calm” after $45,000 lettuce theft

Hamilton Police are looking for suspects after a truck and trailer full of lettuce was stolen.

According to police, sometime sometime between 8 pm on March 31 and 4 pm on Saturday April 1,  an unknown suspect(s) stole a large commercial truck and trailer that was parked on the property of 50 Covington Street in Hamilton.

Inside the refrigeration trailer was approximately $45,000 worth of lettuce inside.

Police say the suspect(s) drove the truck into the City of Toronto leaving the truck behind which has been recovered but the suspect(s) transported the trailer with the lettuce inside to an unknown location.

The Ontario Licence Plate attached to the trailer is P9002D.
