LCBO, Beer Store and licensed grocers now open late 7 days a week

Dec 3 2018, 9:44 pm

The provincial government has made good on its promise to Ontarians — the LCBO, Beer Store and licensed grocers will now sell alcohol from 9 am until 11 pm, 7 days a week.

The new hours have been implemented as of Sunday, and will allow the hours of stores selling alcohol to align with the hours of private retail cannabis stores, which are planned to open April 1, 2019.

The news was shared on Twitter by Steve Clark, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

The tweet reads, “Starting today, LCBO stores (including agency stores), The Beer Store, authorized grocery stores and off-site winery retail stores can sell alcohol between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. seven days a week. Improved choice, access and convenience for the people. Enjoy responsibly!”

Looks like late-night beer runs are no longer the stuff of dreams.

As Clark said: enjoy responsibly.
