Toronto’s King and Queen Streets have been named as two of Canada’s coolest neighbourhoods.

Travel+Leisure compiled a list of the hippest neighbourhoods in the country and both King and Queen West took the top spots.

“Toronto’s King and Queen Streets are where you’ll find some of the city’s best stuff. The stylish design district is home to award-winning restaurants, great culture, and tons of innovative shops,” writes the online magazine.

Travel+Leisure recommends that guests visiting this ultra-hip Toronto area stay at the Thompson or Hotel X (so clearly they’ve done their homework).

When it comes to places to eat, the magazine recommends visitors check out Canis, Pablo’s Snack House, or Rhum Corner.

For shopping enthusiasts, both King and Queen West offer a plethora of cool boutiques and shops but Travel + Leisure urges travellers to head to I Have a Crush on You, which serves as a gift store, gallery, and design studio.

Of course, this is what happens when tourists show up, they try to tell you what you’ve already known for years
