Feb 28 2017, 9:26 pm

Junked Food Co. has newly landed on Queen West.

The snack bar known for its menu of ultimate munchies has relocated from its former Dundas West digs to this new neighbourhood taking over the recently vacated address of P&L Burger.

The menu is as outrageous as ever including a broad selection of poutines and fries, mac ‘n cheese, waffle sandwiches, Smash Bags, pizzas, and desserts.

It’s Instagram-worthy stuff, and owners Vince Farago and Brian McKilligan know it.

Some of the table tops are even outfitted with lightboxes to capture these especially photogenic foods in all their cheesy, saucy glory.

Chicago-style deep dish pizzas are offered in two sizes and available in 6 different styles; the Hawaii 5-OMG, Garlic Mushroom, Bruschetta, and Meat Monster among them.

These are not lightweight pizzas. Literally. My Mac & Cheeza personal size pie weighs at least a two or three pounds. The crust is thin and truly pie-like. It’s filled with a gooey mess of noodles and cheese then finished with a layer of sweet red sauce.

“Rustic crust” pizzas are new to the menu at this location. These are designed with lunch crowds in mind. It’s meant to be a lighter alternative that won’t leave you in a food coma, though the flavours are anything but boring.

Butter Chicken anyone? How about the Na-Cho Lover? Or a Honey Ham with brie and apples?

Smash Bags, essentially nachos in a bag, are available with add-ins like mac ‘n cheese, pulled pork, and NEW to this location; tater tots!

Dessert-wise, there are sweet waffles, soft serve swirls, and cookie scoops in an ever changing selection of raw cookie dough flavours in cones or cups that are pimped out with various candy toppings, sauces, and sprinkles.
