India Festival and Grand Parade on at Nathan Phillips Square this weekend

Toronto’s annual India Day Festival and Grand Parade is on this Sunday at Nathan Phillips Square.

The free community event, presented by Panorama India and Toronto’s Consulate General of India, kicks off at 1 pm with the Grand Parade marshalled by Bollywood actor Jimmy Shergill.

Also on the bill, 300+ local dancers and Panorama Idol singers as well as headlining acts by the “King of Bhangra” Malkit Singh, Indo-Canadian Singer Parichay and more.

Rounding out the festivities, attendees can look forward to an International Marketplace and Meena Bazaar stocked with unique clothes, food, and jewelry.
