Green Day to rock Budweiser Stage at Ontario Place this summer

Jan 9 2017, 11:48 pm

After the cancellation of their Toronto stop last summer, Green Day has announced their official return to the 6ix.

The Grammy-award winning punk rockers will play the Budweiser Stage at Ontario Place on August 18 as part of their Revolution Radio summer tour.

For those who might remember, Green Day has been one of music’s pop-punk staples since their emergence in the early 90s.

Green Day has won five Grammy Awards, have been inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and returned in 2015 with their single “Bang, Bang.” Soon after, they released their latest album, Revolution Radio, which was the band’s 12th studio release.

The boys that gave us “Warning,” “Hitchin’ a Rice,” and of course “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” have headlined major music festivals globally. Green Day return with Catfish and the Bottlemen as their support on their tour.

You won’t have to wait until September ends for this show.

Tickets for Green Day go on sale Friday, January 13 at 10 am via LiveNation.
