Hillary Salad on St-Denis has upped the gourmet salad game.

For salad-goers who’ve ever pondered adding some gold to their greens, tomatoes and cucumbers, The Gold Opulent Salad might be for you.

Hillary’s features an $800 salad bowl, The Gold Opulent, is dressed with a 40-year-old balsamic vinegar, salmon caviar, 24-karat edible gold and is topped off with pine nuts, parmesan, arugula, olives and sun-dried tomatoes.

The eight-bill salad is also available on Foodora for those wishing to have it delivered to your door, possibly by bike.

The upscale salad bar prides themselves on using an “Enneagram Personality Quiz” that helps customers focus on which type of salad is best for their personality.

“The menu at Hillary Salad is inspired by the Enneagram. The Enneagram is a personality tool,” reads the Hillary Salad website. “It is a highly sophisticated system of nine personality profiles that are meant to help us know ourselves and others ‘as we/they are to themselves.'”

For customers not willing to throw down $800 on the opulent salad, there’s a menu option to add only the edible gold to other salads for a bargain price of $49.99.

While you’re in the neighbourhood and looking for a post-salad dessert, don’t forget about Juliette & Chocolat $100 23-karat brownie.

Why not? Live a little.
