Genie Bouchard agrees to a second date with stranger from Twitter

Some guys have all the luck.

John Goehrke, the guy who asked Genie Bouchard on Twitter if she would go out with him if the New England Patriots came back to win the Super Bowl, got his date last night.

With Bouchard in New York for her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, she flew John in from Missouri. It looks like the two had fun, watching an NBA game from court-side seats in New York on Wednesday.

“He’s normal!” Genie said in more than one interview.

Of course, John could have been anyone.

The University of Missouri student from Chicago didn’t have a picture of himself on his profile, so for all Genie knew, he could have been somebody creepy or dangerous.

Instead, the 22-year-old tennis star from Montreal got a good looking, age-appropriate (he’s 20) college student. And he, well, he got a kiss at the end of the night.

If you think that’s the end of the story, then you’re not a cockeyed optimist like John.

John, as we know, isn’t short of luck. He’s also not shy to ask a brilliant question.

Second date? You know he had to ask it.

TMZ caught up to the couple outside of the VIP exit at Barclay’s Center (of course they did), and got some answers from the ‘couple’.

“Do you think there’ll be a second date?” the TMZ reporter asked.

“For sure,” Genie said, with little hesitation.

Hey, there’s a WTA Tour stop in Cincinnati, driving distance from John, in August…
