Hold on to your hats, Toronto.

Actually, though.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the City of Toronto regarding strong winds on Wednesday afternoon.

Strong southwesterly winds of 50 km/h with gusts to near 80 km/h are expected to develop early this afternoon.

These winds may be strong enough to cause some minor tree and building damage, according to Environment Canada.

They also expect that local power outages might happen throughout the afternoon, and warn that driving conditions may be difficult at times due to the strong and gusty winds.

Luckily, the wind gusts are expected to diminish early this evening.

Today’s temperature is supposed to reach a high of 9°C, with a low of 5°C. But expect it to feel a little colder with that wind.

Stay safe out there!
