DeMar DeRozan has etched his name in the Raptors record books on Wednesday, becoming the franchise leader in points.

DeRozan hit a routine jump shot in the second quarter against the Golden State Warriors, passing Chris Bosh’s previous franchise record of 10,275.

It’s good riddance to Bosh, who spurned the Raptors for Miami more than six years ago.

DeRozan had 29 points on the night – he now has 10,290 all-time for the Raptors – and is on pace to have the best season of his eight-year career. With an average of 27.5 points per game, he ranks fifth in NBA average scoring.

The Raptors lost 121-111 to the Warriors, but still rank second in the Eastern Conference standings. After playing the best team in the league, Toronto will get a much easier matchup on Thursday, against the basement dwelling Phoenix Suns. The Raptors are halfway done their six-game western road trip and will play the Lakers and Spurs to begin 2017.
