Support breast cancer research: CIBC Run for the Cure 2016

Sep 28 2016, 12:31 am

On Sunday, October 2, 60 communities across Canada will be filled with pink-clad runners participating in the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.

The 5 km walk/run brings together thousands of Canadians in support of breast cancer research, health education, and advocacy programs.

Money raised from the run goes directly to research and health services for the breast cancer community.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is the largest charitable funder of breast cancer research in Canada and has invested over $360 million in breast cancer research since its inception in 1986.

In 2015, 103,814 participants ran or walked in the event, and a total of $21.5 million was raised.

There is still time to sign up for the run and show your support for the largest, single-day, community-driven fundraising event for breast cancer research.
