Two men have been arrested and charged for a violent armed robbery that took place in Calgary last year, and a third man now has a Canada-wide warrant out for his arrest.

Three masked men entered Hempisphere, a Tobacco shop in southeast Calgary, armed with handguns and a machete on January 20, 2017.

The men put a gun to the store manager’s head, instructing her to give them the keys to the safe.

The men also ripped phone cords out of the walls, forced employees into the back of the store, and stole merchandise before fleeing.

Police have since identified and arrested Jahlal Pottinger and Devan Wright, both 23-year-old men from Calgary, and laid multiple charges on them including robbery with a firearm, unlawful confinement, and being disguised while committing an indictable offence.

The third suspect, believed by police to be 22-year-old Calgarian Kajwang Magak, has so far eluded police officers, though a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
