There are certain things we’re always willing to travel for.

Good weather, waterfalls, beaches, and butter tarts. (Well, dessert of any kind, really.)

And luckily, just as we’re starting to leave summer behind, we can still get our fill of butter tarts this weekend. And we literally mean fill.

Last year at the first annual Bradford, Ontario Farmers’ Market Butter Tart Festival, 4,000 butter tarts we sold in just the space of a few hours. The market is open this Saturday, August 10 from 8 am to 1pm – so make sure you get there early if you want the pick of the butter tart litter.

Bradford, ON is only about 80 km north of Toronto and will take you less than an hour to get there. The drive back, however, make take you longer. After all, your car will likely be loaded up with dozens of cases of delicate butter tarts you’ll want to get home in one piece…
