Despite having a terrible start to the year, Blue Jays attendance is the best in the American League.

While the Jays are still currently sitting in last place in the AL East, they’re also playing their best baseball of the year by far. The boys in blue have surged to an 8-2 record in their last 10 games and are now just 2 games back of a wild card spot.

What’s more, the Blue Jays just became the first team in the entire American League to surpass 1 million people in attendance in 2017. Last year, the Jays finished atop the AL for attendance with a season-long total of 3,392,099, which was more than 300,000 people more than the Yankees and good for third highest in the entire MLB.

In other words, despite recent struggles, Jays fans aren’t just the fair weather type.

This is Canada’s team, after all, and they’re going to get the country’s support… all the way to the World Series!!

Hey, we can dream…
