An abundance of local farms, market culture, globally-influenced cuisines, and top tier chefs and restaurants has positioned the 6ix as a haven for foodies.

I couldn’t get enough of these colourful, floral tables at @eatjackpot ! Chinese restaurants have a very distinct look…usually lots of gold + red, plastic table covers (for practicality), a golden dragon + Phoenix adorning the wall… . . Jackpot Chicken Rice was so playfully decorated from the tables to the mural of the baby picking up a watermelon🍉Reminded me of Dirty Dancing “I carried a watermelon…” But apparently there were a lot of chubby baby propaganda posters littered throughout China during the war. I guess the thinking was “Who wouldn’t feel happy looking at a baby?” 👶🏻 to keep people’s spirits up. Tangent. So I highly recommend getting the broccoli tempura. Almost didn’t get it except for the suggestion of our server 🙌 #TeriEats . . . . . . #foodgasm #ilovefood #tablesituation #chinese #chinatown #tempura #flashesofdelight #chasinglight #thehappynow #thatsdarling #simplepleasures #pursuepretty #chooselovely #vsco #liveauthentic #nothingisordinary #bestofvsco #justgoshoot #yougotthis #bandofun #communityfirst #foodpornto #flatlay #abmcolorful #foodtoronto #dailyhiveto
