Love the convenience of grabbing a six-pack along with ingredients for supper? Good news! Beer and cider will soon be available for purchase at even more grocery stores across the province.

Beer and cider is coming to 87 newly authorized Ontario grocery stores this April and joins over 200 stores already dealing in beer and cider including up to 70 stores that also sell wine.

Ultimately, beer and cider are slated to be sold at up to 450 grocery stores and wine is to be made available in up to 300 stores.

“Bringing beer, cider and wine to grocery stores is part of the largest change to alcohol retailing in the province since prohibition,” according to a news release. “The winning grocers were selected via a competitive bidding process held by the LCBO.”
