A massive Italian food festival is happening in Toronto this weekend (CONTEST)
Come to the table! That’s how A Tavola translates from Italian to English. It’s also the name of the massive Italian food festival happening in Toronto this weekend.
Billed as a celebration of Italian food and culture, this three-day event takes over the West Island at Ontario Place from June 8 to 10 including a Saturday morning session featuring brunch time faves like breakfast pizza, pastries, and even an eggs Benedict built over pasta.
Twenty vendors are participating and will offer a wide variety of sweet and savoury Italian eats. Look forward to a range of antipasto, arancini, pizza, pasta, veal sandwiches, tiramisu, gelato, cannoli, Nutella pizza, and more from local purveyors.
Participating vendors include:
- Pizza Nova serving up pizza (of course)
- Grande Cheese dishing out antipasto
- Ostrea offering seafood pasta and oysters
- Dal Moro Pasta repping Venice with a variety of pasta and tiramisu
- Mangia Cakes slinging pasta including lasagna
- Forno 450 serving up pizza
- JZ’s Pizza dishing out lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza
- Food Dudes serving up arancini, veal sandwiches, kale Caesar salad
- b espresso Bar offering panini and coffee
- Holy Cannoli dealing in their namesake specialty
- Love Gelato doing coffee and gelato
- Barocco Coffee Bar
- Lemoncocco Bar
- MARTINI Cocktail Bar pouring Negronis, Asti, and Bellinis
- BRIO Bar
- A TAVOLA bars majoring in wine, beer, and Brio cocktails
In addition to eating, look forward to DJs curating a mix of Italian and contemporary tunes, bocce ball, and 19+ refreshment stations including a Brio bar and stations serving negronis, Italian wines, beers, and more.
General admission is $9 and food and beverages will be priced from $2 to $8.
