Tired of talking about the heat?

Well, it’s also Hump Day. Here are some events happening around town today. Check them out, and have something new to chat about at the water cooler!

As always, stay hydrated, Toronto.

Best Picture

Cool down this afternoon with one of the best shows at this year’s Fringe Festival. Best Picture features three actors playing a cast of thousands in this award-winning mix of every Best Picture Oscar winner lampooned in 60 minutes!

Movie Nights in the Park: E.T.

We love us some outdoor films. We especially love them at the beach, and on warm nights. And double especially love them when it’s E.T.

Where: Kew Gardens, 2075 Queen Street East
When: July 6, at 8 – 11 pm

Weezer and Panic! at the Disco

Because we’re never too old for Buddy Holly or The Sweater song, our beloved 90’s band Weezer is on tour this summer following the release of their latest self-titled album – also known as “The White Album.” And joining these beauties on tour is Panic! At The Disco and the incredibly talented, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.

Where: Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, 909 Lakeshore Blvd West
When: July 6 at 7 pm

Over the Shoulder: Exhibit

Get your art on, and have a brew or two! In their exhibition Over the Shoulder, painters Ryan “Case” MacKeen and Jonathan Davis offer viewers a voyeuristic peek into scenes of protagonists curating the exhibition of their alter egos. The free exhibit’s opening reception is tonight!

Where: The Roundhouse, 255 Bremner Boulevard
When: July 6 at 7 – 11 pm
