Passwords are important.

They used to be important for getting into your friend’s treehouse, but now, every app and website requires a password for access.

Unfortunately, too many people don’t take online passwords seriously enough which makes for primetime targets when it comes to hackers.

And those hackers don’t come to play nice. Data is very important in today’s world and they can steal important information, including things like say, your entire identity.

So, to help protect your cybersecurity in 2019, SplashData released its annual list of the “Worst Passwords of the Year.”

“123456” took the top spot, followed by “Password” and “12345678.” So if you’re using these passwords as your login for anything, it’s best to change them ASAP. “Qwerty” may seem smart, but it just doesn’t do it anymore.

Try adding some capiTals or symbol$ to really throw hackers off their game.
