The craziest weekend of the summer is almost here!

Hosting the only Canadian stop on the GP circuit, Montrealers and visitors from across the world have always embraced the excitement of Formula 1 and all the fun that comes along with it.

So if you’re planning to visit our fair city and party you life away, here is a list of some must-attend events so you do Grand Prix Montreal the right way.

A Night at Studio54

L’Atelier d’Argentine is going all out this year by organizing a Studio 54 themed party all in honour of one of the best known nightclubs in the world which pioneered the age of disco and house music. DJ Jellybean Benitez, who was a resident at Studio 54 and known for not only dating but also producing many of Madonna’s early 80’s hits, will be making sure guests enjoy this smashing wild affair.

Somwhr Launch Event

As you walk down the narrow hallway, the anticipation builds until you have entered this hot spot that transitions from a lounge to an epic club spot. For this special occasion, legendary Montreal promoters Karl Meche and Stevie B Hamron, original owners of the infamous Time Supperclub, reunite for this special one-night only affair. Dj’s Yao and Vito V will perform a mash-up of great music.

The Grand Prix Party at The Ritz-Carlton

The annual Grand Prix party at the Ritz-Carlton has become one of the most sought after events for the past few years due to its luxury and elegance. This year’s event is in collaboration with Aston Martin and includes music by one of Montreal’s best DJ YO-C, a Moet & Chandon champagne bar, an open bar, and a gastronomic buffet feast by the executive chef of the Ritz-Carlton, Johnny Porte plus many more surprises.

Santos F1 Weekend

Old Montreal staple Santos knowns how to throw epic parties, especially during GP weekend! The festivities kick off on Thursday at 12 pm and end on Sunday at 3 am. Expect over 12 DJs playing all day and night, a Bacardi deck on St.Paul street aka circuit St. Paul, and the official Heineken Biergarten in the back housing over 100 people.

Brunch in the City V – Grand Prix Edition

Montreal’s biggest fashion networking event meant to promote small, female-run businesses and entrepreneurship by bringing together the city’s brightest rising independent brands with its trendiest young professionals, fashion enthusiasts and influencers. Come enjoy the launch of designers’ SS17 Collections with a uniquely catered brunch by your favourite local hot spots. La Place du 50e

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Canadian Grand Prix, local Montreal driver Lance Stroll will kick-start the frenzy for the week’s numerous festivities. For the first time ever, Square Dorchester will be the focal point F1 and motor sport lovers. Racing simulators by D-BOX, a go-kart track, historic cars, plus a vast range of other activities for the entire family will be showcased the entire weekend. In addition, fans will be able to watch the Sunday race live on the giant screens.

Liv & Marquee Pop Up

This year, New City Gas is partnering with the world-renowned LIV (Miami) and Marquee (New York) banners and their international star DJ DJ Stevie J who has produced several world-renowned albums for Beyoncé and Jay Z amongst others. If you wanna go really big, this needs to be on your list.

Grand Prix Tiki Brunch

With a welcoming Aloha! flower lei alongside a Miehana cocktail and a tiki-inspired brunch in a Hawaiian island themed setting, get ready for a unique event at one of Montreal’s most popular terrace venues. Tiki attire is highly recommended

Martini Grand Prix Party

Martini will be hosting the Williams racing team’s official grand prix party at the trendy boutique-hotel, William Gray, which made it onto the Condé Nast Traveler 2017 hot list. Celebrate the joy of racing and Gioia Di Vivere – the Italian “joy of living” by sipping endless cocktails and savouring scrumptious hors d’oeuvres on the 8th floor terrace with breathtaking views of Old Montreal. Zoobois

Soubois, located in the heart of the action on De Maisonneuve corner Peel, will host international DJ’s such as DJ Spade of New York, Carmine Sorrentino of Monte-Carlo and singer Vassyk , known for his successful collaborations with Tiesto and David Guetta. In addition, Chef Guillaume Daly will prepare a special Grand Prix menu that will feature the “wildlife” – figure that one out.

Red Carpet Gala

In collaboration with Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, Le Richmond has organized a red carpet gala in reminiscence of prestigious Hollywood nights. The red carpet will be buzzing with local celebs and paparazzi so be sure to dress your best for this extravagant Oscar style party.

Formula 1 Closing Evening

Auberge Saint-Gabriel, co-owned by Guy Laliberté (Cirque du Soleil and huge F1 fan), has long been known as the top party destination during Grand Prix weekend. The closing evening will be an ultra-VIP party consisting of international celebrities, models, and drivers celebrating this thrilling weekend. Dinner will include shared platters of grilled rack of lamb, giant Cajun shrimp, truffled filet mignon, and many more delicacies. Terrace Belvedere

The legendary Belvedere Garden that was on Peel street for the past 6 years is now becoming The Belvedere terrace and taking over Old Montreal. One of the most intriguing events is their Villa Azur Miami pop-up Champagne brunch party in collaboration with Vicky Cristina Paris which will have a south of France vibe, music by top notch DJ’s, and effervescent cocktails by none other than Belvedere Vodka. Did we mention there will be a pool?

Buonanotte Grand Prix Weekend

For over 25 years, this city’s most famous supperclub has been a go-to spot for those seeking a taste of Montreal’s unique flair and charm. This annual star-studded affair begins on Thursday June 8th with the official Red Bull DJ Erok, Hennie the resident DJ at Drama London spinning on Friday night, and their annual Sunday Grand Prix closing party featuring Magnum from Twiga Monaco.

GP at ECOLE PRIVÉE

This high-concept party destination will be celebrating their 2 year anniversary on June 8th in collaboration with Rolls Royce and Dom Perigean. On Friday June 9th, they welcome BAKA NOT NICE who’s affiliated with Drake’s OVO Sound. Don’t sit on The Main’s hottest spot.
