You might want to reconsider going inbound and outbound this weekend. As work on the Turcot Interchange continues, Transports Québec has announced road closures and detours for this weekend.

Many of the closures will start tonight at midnight and persist through until the early hours of Monday morning.

We’ve highlighted some of the major roadworks to keep you moving on time:

Highway 15

  • Highway 15 towards the 20 Ouest will be completely closed from Friday at 11:59 pm until Monday at 5 am
  • Highway 15 between exit 62, Boulevard De La Vérendrye and the entrance to Boulevard Édouard Montpetit, will be completely closed from Friday at 11:59 pm until Monday at 5 am
  • Highway 20 towards the 15 North will be completely closed from Friday at 11:59 pm until Monday at 5 am
  • Route 136 towards the 15 North will be completely closed from Friday at 11:59 pm until Monday at 5 am
  • Highway 15 northbound toward Highway 10 and downtown Montreal will be completely closed from Friday at 11:59 pm until Monday at 5 am
  • Exit 57 North, Nun’s Island, from the 15 South will be closed on Saturday from 4 am until Monday at 5 am

The on-ramp for Highway 15 North from Sherbrooke Street will be open

Highway 10

  • Highway 10 towards the Champlain Bridge will be completely closed from Saturday at 4 am until Monday at 5 am
  • Highway 15 North will be completely closed from Friday at 11:59 pm until Monday at 5 am
  • Exit 57 North, Chemin de la Pointe-Nord, will be completely closed from Saturday at 4 am until Monday at 5 am
  • Atwater Entrance for the 15 North will be completely closed until the end of October
  • Exit 61, Avenue Atwater, will be completely closed until the end of October

The Transport Ministry urges drivers to plan their trips ahead, leave with plenty of time to spare and to use the ‘zipper formation’ in congested areas.

We’d recommend staying home entirely.
