As journalist Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House drops political bombshells in the US, there is an upside in Canada it seems.

A University of Toronto professor says sales of a book he wrote almost a decade ago are up, possibly thanks to Donald Trump and these latest White House scandals.

Professor Randall Hansen, a historian and expert in political science, released Fire and Fury: The Allied Bombing of Germany, 1942-1945 back in 2009.

The book examines the brutal US and British bombing campaign, telling the story through the military and politicians, the aircrews in the skies, and civilians on the ground.

So far, so historical. That is, until last year, when Trump said North Korea would “be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which the world has never seen before.”

Maybe someone in Trump’s circle read Hansen’s book and told him about it. Maybe Trump misunderstood the point of it and adopted the title as his new catchphrase. Maybe.

But anyway, we digress. Wolff then chose the phrase Fire and Fury for the title of his new, controversial tell-all from the White House, which hit the headlines hard a few days ago.

And that seems have some Amazon buyers confused, as Hansen pointed out on Twitter.

It remains to be seen what Hansen’s new readers make of this alternative to Wolff’s revelations about Trump and his White House circle.

Stay tuned to the Amazon reviews, folks!
