Downtown Toronto was drenched with a torrential downpour last night that resulted in flash floods.
The heavy rain was very localized and The Weather Network estimates that some Toronto areas received more than 100 mm of rain in less than 3 hours.
The result was widespread flash flooding, as the rain quickly overwhelmed drainage systems, flooded underpasses, roads and some buildings.
