Tim Hortons now testing poutine at more than 100 Canadian restaurants

Remember the betrayal when Tim Hortons launched a poutine doughnut in America only? We can all start feeling a little less salty about it because as it turns out, poutine might be coming to a Tim Hortons near you soon.

While no official launch date has been announced, the Canada-wide chain has confirmed in an email to Daily Hive that poutine is being piloted at select restaurants.

We are always looking for new ways to test innovative food offerings to meet the needs of our Guests. We can confirm we are testing a poutine offering at over 100 restaurants including the following markets: Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Chicoutimi, Quebec City and Chaudière-Appalaches. Our poutine is made with our popular potato wedges, topped with real cheese curds and gravy.

Presumably, if the product is well received in Quebec, the birthplace of poutine, the rest of the country can look forward to the new menu addition eventually being rolled out across the country.
