Montreal is regarded as being one of most high-tech cities in the world and it’ll get a whole lot livelier too this summer.

The Amsterdam-based communal workspace, Spaces, is set to open its first location in Montreal on May 22 in the trendy Mile End neighbourhood.

The global co-working company will bring its progressive, spirited, and gorgeous workspaces to a city that already boasts an impressive number of forward thinkers and innovators.

Spaces has 92 locations in 25 countries around the world and is slated to open 5 more co-working spaces in the Montreal area within the next 2 years.

The company was created around the concept of community and shared ideas. Each location strives to be a comfortable and productive spot for anyone from small business entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 workers.

“There’s a workplace revolution happening around the world with many people
turning to inspiring and collaborative workspaces over traditional office space,” said
Martijn Roordink, co-founder of Spaces. “Mile End is a prime location for our
Canadian growth as we focus on growing in the best, trendiest and most innovative
locations around the world.”

Located on the 7th floor at 5455 Gaspé avenue, a former textile factory, Spaces Mile End offers its members 30,000 sq. ft. of workspace.

The loft-style building comes with collaborative areas, fully-equipped meeting rooms, co-working spaces, furnished private offices, and a café. Each workspace is stocked with designer furniture – comfortable for members planning to use it for hours or many years.

When in need of a break, enjoy the Mile End’s artistic culture; break away and peruse local art galleries, shops or any of the acclaimed nearby restaurants.

collaboration and well-being in the workplace,” said Pierre Charest, Senior Vice
President, Colliers International. “Its strategic location, being among large
technology companies such as Ubisoft and Framestore, will create a synergy that
will extend outside the workplace.

“Spaces will also meet the demand for flexible workplaces in Mile End, which is filled with entrepreneurial millennials.”

If you’re interested in checking out the first Spaces in Montreal, a launch party is happening on Thursday, June 14 from 5 to 8 pm at 5455 Gaspé avenue in the Mile End.
