Montreal to vote on Quebec artist's new mural for the Village

In celebration of the 19th edition of the Mtl en Arts Festival, local artist Dodo Ose will be adding even more colours to the Village when he creates a brand new mural at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Vistitation Street.

Dodo Ose’s new mural will be found just steps away from the Beaudry metro station, on the wall of the Steak Frites Village restaurant.

Ose’s vision is to fuse the Village’s urban landscape with art making it easier for the community to connect with local work.

The only problem is Dodo Ose can’t decide which of his two pieces he wants to paint.

But you can.

Dodo Ose and the Mtl en Arts festival have set up an online voting poll so that you have the opportunity to choose which piece can be brought to life on the building’s massive wall canvas.

The choices are to be made between the two following pieces which have been blueprinted around Steak Frites’ balcony and window.

Dodo Ose’s style is a mix of painting and graffiti techniques.

Visit the mural website here to vote for your favourite and to see both options at their full lengths.

Choose wisely, Montreal! The winning piece will be announced on June 6.
