PSA: You can get poutine pizza in Montreal

Dec 22 2016, 1:52 pm

As Montrealers, we love our poutine. But what if we could combine the classic Quebecoise dish with a favourite from our European friends in Italy?

That’s exactly what George Le Roi Du Sous-Marin have done in creating the poutine pizza (or Poutizza to be more exact).

This extravagant yet utterly delicious pizza combines the best of both worlds: poutine and pizza.

Voted the third best pizza in all of Montreal, George Le Roi serves up a variety of flavours, from classic pepperoni to vegetarian. However, their stand-out pizza is undoubtedly the poutine pizza.

Their menu features an entire section dedicated to “La Poutizza,” with options like La Traditionelle, covered in mozzarella, cheese curds, fries, and gravy, La Quebecoise, which combines La Traditionelle with bacon and pepperoni, and La Mexicana, topped with La Traditionelle plus ground beef, green peppers, chili peppers, and cheddar cheese.

If that doesn’t have you enticed, I don’t know what will.

Located in Vaudreuil, you’ll have to go off-island for these masterpieces, but trust us, it’ll be worth it.
