Good news for skaters on the West Island.
Pointe-Claire will soon be home to a brand new 12,000 square-foot skate park with a $600,000 price tag.
The park is set to be built next to the Pointe-Claire Aquatic park.
Before the construction begins, the City is inviting residents to a consultation meeting on March 1 at City Hall.
The meeting will go over the plans for the park. Residents will also have the opportunity to ask questions and voice their opinions about the project.
According to reports, the Pointe-Claire skate park could be open to the public anywhere between fall 2018 and spring 2019.
