Now Open: LOV Restaurant brings organic food to Old Montreal

A new destination for health food lovers officially opened today on McGill street.

Local, organic and vegetarian (hence the name LOV) are the main ingredients of this vegan/vegetarian restaurant.

The chef behind LOV’s menu is Stéphanie Audet who comes with a lot of knowledge as an expert in plant-based gastronomy and conscious cuisine. With that experience and having also worked with Crudessence previously, she created a 90% vegan menu whose main inspiration is botanical, with an emphasis on organic and local products.

LOVE’s menu is filled with sandwiches, veggie burgers, and healthy bowls, as well as more elaborated dishes, like the oyster mushroom scallops and sweet potato gnocchi.

“I want to offer food that is healthy, good for the planet, and tasty, too!” shared Audet.

Drinks are also an integral part of this gorgeous space. An elaborate list of natural wines was curated by Steve Beauséjour (Rézin), an organic and natural wine expert, who created a wine list that focuses on selections that promote raw ingredients and responsible agriculture.

The cocktails list was created by Romain Cavelier (Mal Nécessaire, Henri St-Henri, L’gros Luxe), featuring recipes made from herbs and niche products keeping them fresh and unique.

And last but not lease the stunning interior. Reminiscent of something out of Venice Beach, a warm ambiance and natural materials create a cozy space with decor by Jean-Pierre Viau and Jacinth Piotte. Featuring local, handmade tableware, textile artwork by a Montreal artist, antique and almost untouched windows, and a more laidback section with terrariums, the space is eclectic and earthy.
