Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?

If so, this may be your year.

According to Peter Kimbell at Environment Canada, Montreal has a very good chance for  white Christmas.

Kimbell said with the 7 to 8 cm of snow already on the ground in the area, and more snow in the forecast, there’s an 80 to 90% chance of a white Christmas.

The Weather Network is currently showing snow moving into Montreal days before Christmas. Starting December 18, it’s forecasted to snow up to 5 cm, and snow will continue to fall in the region until December 23.

Kimbell said that the cold temperatures coming up also makes the chances higher for a while Christmas, since none of the snow will be melting anytime soon.

So there it is, a white Christmas, just like the ones we used to know.
