“Weather will deteriorate this evening over Western Quebec and rain will spread toward the centre and the east on Thursday.” According to Environment Canada. “After a clearing on Friday, a warm and humid air mass will settle over the province during the weekend.”

The city is expected to be cloudy today with a light rainfall by this evening and thunderstorms all day tomorrow with 20 km/h winds.

Beginning Friday or Saturday, Environment Canada is forecasting daytime highs to be in the high twenties to mid-thirties with humidex values into the mid to high-forties and notes that, “It is already sure that this heat wave will affect activities beginning on Saturday. Heat warnings may thus be required as the weekend draws nearer.”

Montrealers won’t even be able to get relief from the heat in the evenings as overnight low temperatures are only expected to fall into the low twenties.
