Montreal’s Broccolini Construction Inc. is planning to build the tallest residential tower in the city.

According to Bloomberg, Broccolini will construct a 56-story mixed-use tower on 600,000 sq. ft. of downtown city property.

The tower will be located next to the new National Bank building, which is the largest office tower built in downtown Montreal in 25 years.

The new National Bank building is also being built in partnership with developer Broccolini. The building will be constructed on a piece of land Broccolini purchased for $100 million.

As for Broccolini’s new residential building, eight stories will be designated for office and retail space. The rest of the building will be used as residential units.

Bloomberg reports that Broccolini will begin promoting and marketing the tower this fall and it is expected to be complete by 2023.
