Welcome back to the workweek, Montreal. As you set your sights towards the weekend already, here are some fun events happening in the city today, July 16, to get your week moving along.

Radiohead at the Bell Centre

The English rock band from Oxfordshire has been playing music together since 1985. That’s crazy. The band is in Montreal today playing songs off their latest album, A Moon Shaped Pool, released in 2016 and they’ll for sure bust out a few classics. Surely, every place explodes when they play ‘Creep.’

When: Monday, July 16
Time: Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm
Where: Centre Bell – 1909, avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal
Price: $90.50 – $112

Mega Time Squad at Fantasia

Fantasia Film Festival kicked off at the beginning of the weekend and is screening the New Zealand film Mega Time Squad tonight.

The comedy follows a small-town crook who finds an ancient Chinese time-travel device that can help him pull off a heist and start a new life. But he may not survive the consequences of tampering with time. Only time will tell, literally.

When: Monday, July 16
Time: 7:35 pm
Where: Salle J.A. De Sève, Concordia University
Price: $12

Shakespeare in Westmount Park

The long-running outdoor theatre event has been performing around Montreal all July and will continue through until August. The 30th anniversary of the production embarks on Romeo & Juliet: Love is Love during their month-long journey with shows every day.

Today’s performance takes place at the gorgeous Westmount Park.

Repercussion Theatre produces the show with a contemporary, gender-bent take on the classic love story. The cast includes 10 dynamic performers, a gorgeous outdoor set, and live music.

Snacks and drinks will be sold at the park and if you don’t bring your own chair, you can rent one for $5.

When: Monday, July 16
Time: 7 pm to 10 pm
Where: Westmount Park
Price: Free

Yoga on the Canal

Moksha Yoga Griffintown is bringing guests yoga on the canal tonight. The session is open to everyone from any (or no) yoga background. The class happens in the evening to give you a cool and calming practice while watching the sunset.

Time: 7 pm – 8 pm
Where: Madeleine-Parent Park

London Pub’s Industry Night

If you want to keep the weekend party going on Monday night, head to London Pub. They offer industry nights on Mondays. It’s designed to offer inexpensive drinks to bar, pub and restaurant staff from around the city but it’s slowly morphed into drink deals for everybody. Grab a $4 single or a $3 shot of Jameson. Plus they have a free dart board and an in-house jukebox.

When: Every Monday at London Pub
Time: 7 pm – 3 am
Where: 1337 Boulevard Maisonneuve Ouest
