Montreal man issued $149 ticket for singing 'Everybody Dance Now' while driving

This Montreal man just wanted the music to take control but instead, he ended up with a ticket.

According to CTV Montreal, 38-year-old Taoufik Moalla of Saint-Laurent was driving last month while jamming out to the ’90s hit Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) when he was pulled over by police.

Moalla claims that that the officer asked him what was happening in his car and if he was screaming loudly.

Moalla went on to explain to the officer that he was just singing along to his favourite song and not screaming. However, the officer proceeded to give him a $149 ticket for screaming in public.

Moalla contested the ticket and is now waiting to hear back from Montreal police.
